DHD

We offer FREE Direct Home Delivery on most online orders over £50.00 and we only ship to UK mainland addresses 

We always order direct from the supplier/manufacturer who in turn carry out the DHD on our behalf. Lead times for orders will vary depending on stock availability and these will be communicated with you at the time of order. 

For items that are showing in stock on the live portals we have access too, delivery would be within 14 to 21 days approximately, however, these can sometimes be quicker.

For larger items of furniture, a 2 Man delivery would be in operation.

In most cases, you will get 24 hours’ notice of the delivery day by SMS to your mobile phone which will show the proposed delivery and where possible a 2 hour window, however, please be aware that AM slots can start from 0600hrs onwards  

WHITE GLOVE

On selected items you might notice we offer a white glove delivery service. This bespoke service ensures complete assurance of the integrity of your goods, right up to installation and handover. Our white glove services for local Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire postcodes are priced at £35 whereas other products that can be shipped UK wide will have white glove delivery baked into the product price and will not be charged at the checkout stage. 

 

RETURNS POLICY

Most new, unopened items can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, however, the cost of returning any items is the responsibility of the customer.

Items must be returned in their original packaging and a refund will only take place after the goods have been returned, inspected by our returns department and deemed to be in a suitable condition.

Please note that with the exception of a faulty item, for hygiene and safety reasons we cannot accept the return of mattresses and pillows.

We will however pay the relevant return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error ie. You received an incorrect item or the item is damaged. 

Damaged items

Where this occurs, please email within 24 hours of delivery a photo of the damage(s) to sales@sainsburyandsons.co.uk as well as relevant order details and we will get back to you within 48 hours, however, this can be longer if over a weekend or falling over a holiday weekend.

Once the manufacturer has agreed to its return or an exchange, we will then email you over the relevant uplift label to attach to the box, however, please note that the uplift time of any damaged item can take anywhere between 7 and 28 days.

You should then expect to receive your refund within 48 hours of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. No refund will be issued until notification has been received that the item has been uplifted.
